Driver Profile - Alex Ellis

Alex EllisAlex has raced since the age of 14, getting involved in the industry relatively late. Though at this disadvantage, he burst onto the racing scene with a bang, winning 11 races in his inaugural racing season, which Alex spent running the CRKC in a 4-stroke Honda racing kart. He then got into an F1-K kart, a 32hp 2-stroke. Running this at the national level, picking up 5 top 5’s of 6 races, he was a quick learner.

For the 06/07 season Alex was invited to join the Canadian National Racing Team – Cameron Motorsports (CRG). With them, he ran the Florida Winter Tour, consistently running as a top Canadian . Alex then ran the SRFKC Rotax Series with 5 of 6 possible top 5 finishes. He then went to the Las Vegas “Supernationals” for the North American Title. He finished 8th of 50 drivers, aged 16-32.

Now going into the 2008 season, Alexander is signed to run Formula Vee with TLM Racing, He is also to continue to spend some time in karts at assorted races including the Las Vegas Supernationals. He will also be testing assorted touring cars to gain useful experience in many different styles of racecars.
